INTRODUCTION: Through this webquest you will better understand the novel The Sound and the Fury. You will better understand the characters, the order of events, and Faulkner’s style of writing. The novel may seemed obscured as of now, but through this webquest you will better understand the novel.



 

TASK 1

TASK: You are a close family friend of the Compsons. You have known them for many years, and have seen them change. Write a character analysis for Benjy, Caddy, Quentin, and Jason. Explain how each character has changed and developed of the years. Be thorough in your analysis, and examine all possible aspects of the characters involved. Do not merely summarize the characters, but analyze them.
