Mission Statement
Riverside Brookfield High School is a partnership of parents, students,
staff, Board of Education, elementary schools and community. This
academic partnership will provide a comprehensive education in a safe,
orderly, well-equipped environment. All students will be prepared with
the intellectual, aesthetic, vocational, physical, personal and social
skills necessary to be responsible and effective members of a diverse and
changing world.

Community
Riverside Brookfield High School, only 13 miles west of Chicago's Loop,
is located in a village known as "the village in the forest." Designed
by Frederick Law Olmsted, Riverside is known for winding streets and Victorian
homes. Nearby Brookfield was developed in the late 19th century by
S.E. Gross and is home to the world-famous Brookfield Zoo, which welcomes
over 2 million visitors a year. The high school district also draws
from North Riverside, and parts of LaGrange Park, Broadview, and Lyons.
Residents are largely professional, semiprofessional, managerial, proprietary
and skilled workers. The student population is approximately 85.2%
Caucasian, 11.7% Hispanic, 1.8% Asian, 1.2% African-American, and .01%
Other.
