Skyward Family Access

What is Skyward?  A web-based program that will allow students and parents to view student assignments, check student grades, and contact teachers.

Activating your account: Use the login and password that the school has provided. Once you have logged in, click on "Account Information" in the top toolbar. Click on "Change Password". You will need to re-type your original password, along with typing and re-typing your new desired password.

Features

Calendar   When  you login to Skyward, a calendar will be displayed with the student's assignments listed. By clicking on the date (blue and underlined) the parent or student will be allowed to see the details of each assignment for that day.

 

Grades   To look at student grades, click on the Gradebook link on the left side of the page under the heading "General Information."

The grades in the gradebook are shown for each grading period. The Column headings are abbreviated as follows:

ATH -- Athletic Eligibility (only needed if student participates in an IHSA event)

P1 =        Progress Report 1
T1 =        1st Quarter Grade (to date)
P2 =        Progress Report 2 (during 2nd Quarter)
T2 =        2nd Quarter Grade
SE1 =    1st Semester Final Exam
S1 =        1st Semester Grade

To see the assignments that make up a grade, click on the letter grade (blue and underlined) in the Gradebook.

 

Message Center   To send a message to a teacher, click on the "Message Center" link on the left side of the page under the  heading "General Information."

If a teacher has left you a message, you will see "View Message" (blue and underlined) in the right hand column. Simply click to see the message.

To send a message to a teacher, click the "Create New Message" button above the student schedule. Choose a teacher's name from the pull-down menu, type the message, and hit the "Post Message" button on the right hand side.
